About

Jennifer Neily, MS, RDN, CSSD, LD is a respected award-winning registered/licensed dietitian nutritionist in Dallas, Texas who specializes in weight management, exercise and sports nutrition, diabetes, and cardiovascular wellness and disease prevention.  She is board certified in sports dietetics and a well-regarded nutrition counselor, health coach, vibrant public speaker, writer and media spokesperson in the nutrition area.

After a successful 10-year career in business and marketing primarily in the Chicago area, Jennifer returned to school to study her passion—nutrition.  She received her Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Nutrition—in combination with a dietetic internship—from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas.

Jennifer spent over six years at Dallas' county hospital—Parkland Memorial—as a clinical dietitian.  She received a rock-solid foundation and experience in most disease conditions—cardiovascular, diabetes, cancer, liver, renal, and GI.  This transitioned into a stimulating five-year tenure at the world-renown Cooper Clinic in Dallas led by "the Father of Aerobics," Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper.  Focusing on wellness and disease prevention, Jennifer provided nutrition therapy and coaching to over two thousand patients.

Consulting projects include recipe analysis by calculation to Neiman Marcus including their Go Figure cuisine and product analysis including nutrition standards to Meals to Live, LLC.  Jennifer has been an adjunct (part-time) professor for over 15 years, teaching Principles of Nutrition for Richland College. She also is adjunct for University of Dallas.

Speaking and Media
A sought after speaker to business, organizations and sports groups, Jennifer speaks on numerous topics.  These include nutrition to optimize athletic performance, weight management, healthy dining out, nutrition and exercise, controlling cholesterol, to name a few.  All presentations are personalized appropriately to the audience.

Personal

When not working or volunteering, Jennifer balances her time by living what she coaches—eating right and staying in shape with a variety of workouts including Zumba, spinning, rollerblading, power walking and weight lifting.  She is frequently seen in the neighborhood of old east Dallas with her “bodyguard” Rylee, her 11-year old Great Dane mix.  Jennifer has been a foster mom to Great Danes through Great Dane Rescue of North Texas (www.danerescue.net) for over nine years.  She has lovingly cared for over 34 gentle giants as they awaited finding their "fur"ever families.
